Registered Nurse (Part Time) - Access Safe Care, LLC

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)- PART-TIME

Location: Bismarck, ND

Reports to: Executive Director

Position Overview

Access Safe Care, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team on an as-needed basis. The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing quality healthcare services to individuals with diverse needs, ensuring their health and well-being while promoting independence and community integration. This position operates under the guidance and supervision of the Executive Director and is pivotal in upholding the values and standards of our agency.

Essential Functions

Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director, the Registered Nurse is responsible for but not limited to:

1. Healthcare Management

- Providing comprehensive healthcare services including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.

- Collaborating with individuals and their support teams to develop and implement personalized healthcare plans.

2. Clinical Assessment

- Conducting thorough health assessments to identify individual needs and develop appropriate care strategies.

3. Health Education

- Educating individuals and caregivers on health-related topics, medication management, and preventive care measures.

4. Documentation and Compliance

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

5. Crisis Intervention

- Responding promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services as necessary.

6. Team Collaboration

- Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care for individuals.

7. Training and Support

- Providing guidance and support to Direct Support Professionals on healthcare-related matters.

8. Positive Interaction

- Interacting with individuals and their families with empathy, respect, and professionalism.

9. Confidentiality

- Ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of individuals' health information at all times.

10. Continuous Improvement

- Participating in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

11. Adherence to Policies and Procedures

- Adhering to agency policies, procedures, and protocols in the delivery of healthcare services.

Qualifications:

- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of North Dakota

- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

- CPR certification required.

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Flexible availability to work on an as-needed basis, including evenings and weekends.
