Job Description

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
- Assist the Front Office Manager in all department aspects and ensure adherence to service standards.
- Maintain guest room inventory, including details on prices, rates, specials, packages, and programs.
- Oversee the hiring, scheduling, supervision, and training of all Front Desk staff, including performance evaluations and development reviews.
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve guest complaints and staff issues. Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns in person and via correspondence.
- Provide daily operational and managerial support to Front Desk, Guest Services, Reservations, Royal Services, Concierge, Fairmont Gold, and Tours departments, ensuring all service standards are upheld.
- Promote Accor Live Limitless to maximize on-site loyalty member recruitment and Room Upsell programs to increase incremental revenue.
- Review arrivals and departures, check VIP and special request reservations to ensure proper pre-registration / blocking, and notify all relevant departments of room assignments.
- Collaborate closely with Housekeeping and Guest Services on arrivals, departures, and lobby management. Oversee tours, groups, and conferences from a Front Desk perspective.
- Review, develop, and implement new systems and standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings and continually communicate a clear and consistent message regarding the Front Office goals to produce desired results.
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies and order as needed within the departmental budget.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include :
- Passion for guest service
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
- Minimum of 2-year previous proven leadership experience
- Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and Guest requests
- Knowledge of Opera Property Management System an asset
- Should possess or seek certification in basic First Aid
- Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
- Experience with a Hotel loyalty program an asset
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
