Responsibilities
- Conduct data cleansing from multiple database sources working with stakeholders as needed.
- Help Define Data ownership as requested.
- Work closely with stakeholders as needed.
- Help define company data assets to populate data models.
- Help to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture.
- Document data-related processes.
- Help define and implement data retention policies and procedures in accordance with Virginia State regulations and stakeholder needs.
- Support database performance by monitoring, evaluating, and suggesting resolution for processing and programming problems.
- Secure database by preparing access and control policies and procedures and implementing disaster recovery procedures.
- Extensive experience operating within a software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Expertise in Database Querying (SQL and/or Oracle).
- Strong documentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to creatively approach and solve situations.
- Well-developed analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in creating and maintaining a data dictionary.
- Strong background in at least one area: Fiscal, IT, HR.
