WHERE THIS IS LOCATED
  • Sales Territory: Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa with select key targets in Michigan and West Coast
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
  • To create and implement a sales strategy to assure achievement of personal and company sales goals for assigned accounts.
  • To develop new accounts and expand existing accounts in the assigned sales area and in accordance to established sales goals.
  • Develop plans to grow territory by at least $500K - $750K per year of new business. Visit customers and key targets at regular intervals to identify needs and sales opportunities.
  • Build and develop customer relationships as a platform for sustainable business and control expenses within the area of responsibility.
  • Align account information and product and services strategies with DLP Sales Manager. This ensures DLP is positioned to meet new market and industry demands.
  • Recapture lost sales and expand sales of products at assigned customer according to business goals. Drive select key initiatives for pipeline growth.
  • Provide customers with balanced product recommendations from company’s product range to meet industry needs.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
  • This position requires a 4-year college BS/BA degree, preferably technology/science related degree.
  • 10-15 most recent years in the chemicals industry. Selling experience must be related to additives and not commodity type sales.
  • Minimum 5-7 most recent years in CASE markets with at least 50% of time spent in Coatings
  • Must have working knowledge of CRM tools, formal call planning and call reporting, formal pre-call planning and experience with key account planning tools
  • Must have organization, planning, decision making, problem solving, project management, etc. Excellent computer, communication and writing skills are necessary
