- Analyzes data and prepares monthly account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and compliance related to company policies.
- Assist with month-end close including journal entry preparation from various data sources.
- Reviews and approves various journal entries and reconciliations prepared by other accounting staff as needed.
- Analyze actual cost compared to standard cost and reviews in relation to product margins and assist with standard cost updates as needed.
- Provides financial support and recommendations to other departments and assists in the annual operating budget.
- Responsible for maintaining fixed assets and reconciliation to ledger.
- Responsible for preparation of a monthly capital forecast.
- Gather and review SOX compliance reports and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree Accounting
- 2 years of experience required.
- Must have general accounting experience and knowledge of cost accounting.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to adapt.
- Must have experience with month/year-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with fixed assets, forecasts, and budgets is preferred.
- Experience working with SAP is a plus.
