Job Title: SUE Supervisor
- Work Location: Atlanta, GA ***
- Supervise and lead a team of SUE Technicians/field crews and specialist
- Provide guidance, training, and support to the SUE team to ensure high-quality performance.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Oversee the execution of SUE tasks, including utility detection, mapping, and data collection.
- Ensure the accurate identification and documentation of subsurface utilities using various geophysical methods.
- Review and approve SUE reports, drawings, and deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist and coordinator with project managers in preliminary work to prepare crews for field assignment
- Represent and communicate with the client, sub-contractors, and third parties during field activities
- Effective maintenance, cleaning, and operation of vehicles, equipment, tools and supplies
- Facilitate Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings
- Perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members
- Drive commercial motor vehicles, however a CDL license is not required
- Supervisor and direct safety set-up for proper maintenance of traffic signage
- Complete monthly equipment inventory for the purpose of reorder
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of 4-6 years' experience as a SUE Technician, with at least one year was in a supervisory or management role
- Ability to supervise and train others to include SUE Technicians when required
- GDOT experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Must be able to read maps and transcribe technical information from them
- Familiar with Air/Vacuum Excavation Equipment
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable
- Must be able to travel occasionally or travel to project sites as needed
- OSHA Safety certifications are a plus
- Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
- Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
