Accurate Castings Inc. is Hiring a DAY SHIFT GRINDER Near Walkerton, IN
Description
- Remove gate stubs, flash from parting lines, and other imperfections from castings in such a way as to avoid altering the casting
- Ability to perform secondary operations such as hand deburring, gauging, and inspection to customer specifications
- Adjust tongue guard and work-rest guard on grinding and belting machines (& keep them within requirements)
- Keep work area neat and clean
- Follow all safety procedures
- Follow all quality procedures
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Requires standing for 9-10 hours per day
- Required to learn the machine operation, the display unit, and the controls
- Ability to keep proper count of production numbers and scrap quantities
- Required to learn different metals and equipment associated with each
- Ability to understand and follow all supervisor job-related instructions
- Ability to properly place castings in boxes, baskets, or tubs
- Ability to repetitively lift and handle castings for grinding, inspecting and finishing, weighing a range of 1 lb to 50 lbs
