Machine Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)

Location: Aurora, IL

Shift: 3rd Shift

Pay: $35.15 per hour

We’re seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician in Aurora, IL This is a direct hire opportunity with competitive benefits. As a Machine Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation and maintenance in our packaging facility.

Responsibilities:

• Must have Forklift experience
• Three (3) years of on-the-job experience as a packaging mechanic.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing packaging equipment.
• Understanding of basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles.
• Experience working with mechanical systems and components.
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems and components.
• Knowledge of welding, drilling, and milling.
• Proficiency in operating shop equipment.
• Must have basic standard and metric hand tools.
• Flexibility to work any shift and overtime as required.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience in rebuilding and overhauling packaging equipment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting using computer-based diagnostics.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation such as electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Experience with photo electronic registration systems.
• Working knowledge of Lathe operation.

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of moderate to heavy lifting and performing various physical activities.
• Comfortable working in an internal plant environment with exposure to dust and noise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of work in multiple areas including operations, mechanical, and blending.
• Operate, maintain, and repair equipment on the packaging floor.
• Ensure product quality and equipment efficiency.
• Conduct housekeeping, safety, and quality audits.
• Identify and implement operational improvements.
• Diagnose and rectify equipment operating conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
• Complete work orders and maintain skills training.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
