ACH Child and Family Services is Hiring a Director of Youth & Family Services Near Fort Worth, TX

Description:Position Function:Plan, coordinate, direct and maintain assigned programs. Provide leadership for planning and implementation of the Youth and Family Services Department including potential growth to meet the agency’s strategic plan of being a lead agency in Texas. Ensure all contractual obligations are met or exceeded. Collaborate with services and programs in the agency and community to support the agency’s mission vision and values.
Requirements: Education: Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field. Licensed as one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor or Associate (LPC or LPC-A), Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Associate (LMFT or LMFT-A), Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Psychological Associate required. Additional certification as an LPC-Supervisor, LMFT-Supervisor or LCSW- Supervisor preferred.
Experience: Five years of experience in children’s mental/behavioral health or child welfare services to children and families required. Five years of experience providing program and employee supervision is required. Experience managing multiple grants and/or contracts preferred.
Functional: Department Head of multiple programs responsible for the development and management of prevention, early intervention and treatment programs for families and children. Provide clinical consultation and supervision to program operations to ensure effectiveness, EBP fidelity and services that are sensitive to the population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Establish and monitor expectations for program and staff accountability to agency and contractual performance obligations. Maintain and develop database reports to ensure contract requirements are met. Represent ACH and Youth and Family Services Department with State contractors. Represent agency in the community to generate referral activity, stakeholder support and collaborative opportunities with service providers.
Working Conditions:Exposure to children with behavior problems, including possible physical aggression. Potential exposure to illness and blood. Some evening and weekend hours required.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall administrative and clinical direction to the Youth and Family Services Department
  • Contribute to development of strategic measurable program goals and objectives and the regular metrics that will illustrate progress towards achieving them
  • Monitor and respond with re-enforcing or corrective actions to those metrics
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to monitor performance activities
  • Lead and manage programs in pursuit of professional development, job satisfaction, employee engagement, program performance and achievement of agency objectives
  • Assertively manage productivity and accountability of operations leading to client referrals, efficient service delivery, clinical documentation and billing of fee-for-service activities
  • Facilitate staff meetings that enhance accountability, support, professional development and a connection to the programs’ and agency’s strategic plans and objectives
  • Monitor fidelity of evidence-based programs used in the Youth and Family Services Department
  • Work collaboratively with other ACH personnel and professional peers in the community
  • Use effective time management to lead and manage multiple programs and activities
  • Contribute to development of, regularly review progress of, and implement corrective strategies as needed to manage budgets
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other agency leaders to support the achievement of program and agency objectives
  • Maintain adherence to the ethical standards which are outlined in the ACH Child and Family Services’ Ethics policies and procedures
  • Represent the agency’s values in all decisions and activities in the community and in the agency
  • Keep up-to-date with evidence-based programs and best practices for implementation in existing or future programs
  • Think critically and develop programs to meet proposal requests and contractual requirements
  • Maintain current contract requirements while collaborating with the Grants and Contracts Department to provide content for funding proposals and develop programming for future initiatives
Development/Planning:
  • Work closely with other ACH programs to plan, coordinate and facilitate the implementation of comprehensive care for the children and families served
  • Ensure that programs meet the minimum standards and levels of care established by COA, TDFPS, NFSN, FSS, HHS and other entities
  • Develop and work toward identification and accomplishment of program outcome goals, quality goals and financial goals of assigned programs
  • Work with the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer on annual budget development and preparation and on budgets for grant and contract proposals
  • Develop systems for maintaining data for dashboards, needs assessments and other reporting mechanisms
Implementation:
  • Oversee training implementation system and conduct trainings as needed
  • Participate in training on evidence-based programs and for annual CEUs required to keep licensure current and to meet agency, Family and Youth Success (FAYS) Program contractual and accreditation requirements
  • Ensure that agency goals regarding conduct and performance are achieved and that all established personnel policies and procedures are adhered to by program staff
  • Interact with the ACH Child and Family Services Board of Directors as directed
  • Promote pride, effectively motivate and develop a sense of accomplishment among staff
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with staff, ACH departments, community providers and families served
  • Provide afterhours on-call consultation and response for all assigned programs and other department programs as needed
Monitoring:
  • Complete all administrative tasks including performance reviews, payroll, cellphone, mileage and other reimbursements and program activity reimbursements
  • Complete all necessary documentation to fulfill RHRL, FSS and agency requirements including reports
  • Participate in agency Leadership Team meetings and provide effective leadership in Performance Quality Improvement activities
  • Maximize effectiveness of communication with supervisor within and outside of supervision
  • Satisfy program requirements for outside program monitoring, including COA, TDFPS, FSS and others
  • Perform other duties as directed
