Achieve Charter School is Hiring a Behavior Technician Near Chico, CA

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support at our charter school. The Behavior Technician will work closely with students to implement behavior intervention plans designed to improve social, behavioral, and academic outcomes. This role is crucial in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior plans as directed by the Behavior Analyst or special education team.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioral needs during classroom activities, transitions, and other school routines.
  • Collect data and maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior using provided tools.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success and address behavioral concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all student information and adhere to all school policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral challenges preferred.
  • Experience implementing behavior plans or working in special education settings is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred or willingness to obtain training or certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to physically assist and support students as needed, which may include lifting or guiding students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
