Position Overview

All ACCF employees are required to uphold the mission and vision of ACCF and to foster an environment that promotes the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of each child enrolled.

The Chief Organizational Performance Officer (CPO) at Achievement Centers for Children & Families will serve as an active partner to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to drive organizational performance and execution. Together, they will ensure that departmental strategies align with the ACCF mission and broader organizational goals, fostering consistency in mission and practice. Additionally, in partnership with the leadership team, the CPO will articulate and facilitate the implementation of ACCF's strategic vision, both internally and externally. In partnership with the CEO, the CPO will oversee the development, implementation, growth, and enhancement of the organization's programs and services. Moreover, they will manage critical executive-level engagements, such as direct meetings with the CEO, senior leadership sessions, and Board Meetings. They will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's operational framework.

Requirements

Organizational Leadership

  • Strategy:
  • Strategic Initiative Leadership: Spearhead strategic initiatives aligned with the Achievement Center's overarching priorities, collaborating with senior leaders to achieve impactful outcomes for the organization.
  • Comprehensive Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Board of Directors, staff, and professional advisors to devise and execute a comprehensive multi-year strategic plan. This involves defining and effectively communicating ACCF’s mission while formulating strategies for continuous improvement and sustainable organizational growth.
  • Thought Leadership and Operational Support: Serve as an active thought leadership partner while providing operational support for the CEO by collaborating on strategic insights and facilitating decision-making processes.
  • Management:
  • Project Management Excellence: Manage strategic projects aligned with the CEO’s top priorities, ensuring consistent follow-through and delivering high-quality results consistently.
  • Executive-Level Meeting Management: Facilitate executive-level meetings to discuss key issues related to strategic goals, programmatic efficiency, staff morale, etc. Create a cadence of accountability and ensure follow-through to outcomes achievement.
  • Collaborative Operational Alignment: Work actively with the COO to ensure alignment and synergy in organizational operations by coordinating efforts, streamlining processes, and fostering effective communication across departments.
  • Progress Monitoring and Gap Identification: Monitor the organization's progress toward achieving key benchmarks and strategic goals, identify gaps, establish updated plans, and ensure goal achievement.
  • Relationship and Culture Building:
  • Stakeholder Relationship Building: Facilitate achieving ACCF’s overarching goals by fostering relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, including families, community partners, elected officials, and donors.
  • Staff Relationship Cultivation: Demonstrate strong relationships with staff through active engagement and support.
  • Organizational Culture Establishment: Collaborate with the CEO, executive leadership team, and program Directors to establish a positive and productive organizational culture.
  • Employee Morale Maintenance: Work collaboratively with the CEO, executive team members, and program Directors to establish and maintain employee morale and dedication to ACCF.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy Formulation: Formulate, implement, and monitor high-quality business strategies and plans that align with short-term and long-term objectives, ensuring the organization's financial viability.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources to departments as needed to enable each department to accomplish its goals effectively.
  • Fundraising Collaboration: Collaborate with the Board and the CEO on fundraising initiatives related to program development and expansion, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational objectives.

Educational Preferences

  • Master’s degree in a related professional field
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
  • Department of Children & Families Center Credentials

Work Environment

  • Travel may be required
