ACI Federal Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team for a large long term Children and Adolescence facility . As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to patients with mental health conditions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Assessing patients' mental health status and developing individualized care plans
- Administering medications and monitoring their effectiveness
- Providing counseling and therapeutic interventions to patients
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
- Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
- Monitoring patients for any changes in behavior or symptoms
- Assisting with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate medical records

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

Acute pain management: Ability to assess and manage acute pain in patients with mental health conditions.
IV insertion: Skill in inserting intravenous catheters for medication administration.
Senior care: Understanding of the unique needs of elderly patients with mental health conditions.

Specs:

MUST be able to work ANY shift with rotating weekends.

MUST be able to work 4/12s (48 hour work week)

13 Weeks Assignment with possible extension until the positions are filled.

Must provide BLS/CPR

Must provide most recent PPD results TST, Chest X-Ray or QuantiFERON

1 year experience required.

Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screening.
