Production Supervisor

Pay Range: $70,720 - $91,520 base plus overtime (i.e. $34-$44/hr plus overtime).

Must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorships for immigration cases are not available. Relocation assistance is available.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading nine to eleven shift employees in a plastic extrusion manufacturing environment.

Shift: 7am - 3:30pm. The expectation is that supervisors arrive 15-30 minutes pre-shift for preparation and stay 15-30 minutes post shift during handoffs and updating production and personnel reports. This position qualifies for overtime above 40 hours in a week. The schedule is Monday-Friday and potential overtime on weekends as needed on either Saturday or Sunday (not both).

Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee the manufacturing process and ensure that production targets are met efficiently and effectively. This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for managing a team of production workers and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets
- Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Train, mentor, and motivate production workers to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to resolve production issues and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Identify training needs and provide ongoing development opportunities for production team members

Experience :
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment (1-2 years experience required)
- Strong knowledge of production processes, including basic math calculations, materials handling, machine operations, plastics injection or extrusion, caliper usage, and assembly techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting
