Job Title: Clinical Trials Instructional Designer
Department: Study Management
Location: Remote, Preference to sit in Rochester NY, must reside in East Coast
Hours Per Week: 40
Schedule: Days; Monday – Friday
SUMMARY
The Clinical Trials Instructional Designer is responsible for working closely with subject matter experts to learn software and processes in order to gain the expertise necessary to conceptualize, design, and create highly interactive and impactful learning solutions (e-Learnings, videos, Instructor-Led Training, documentation, and blended solutions). This position will play a key role in the development and implementation of onboarding programs, new solutions, processes, and documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Author and create instructional strategies based on processes, software, systems, or best practices
- Assess, design, create, and implement department-specific onboarding programs
- Create and facilitate peer-to-peer “Train the Trainer” programs
- Create interactive and impactful end-user training content
- Assess end user needs to determine appropriate performance interventions
- Provide guidance and specialized knowledge to members of the organization
- Develop alliances and consultative working relationships across departments and with subject matter experts
- Develop and participate in system and user acceptance testing when applicable
- Consult on cross-departmental strategies for training and development
- Apply current Instructional System Design theories, methodologies, and best practices in all learning interventions
- Help define and administer standards and conventions to ensure consistent long-term maintenance of training content
- Communicate project status to internal and customer stakeholders
- Monitor and control project scope
- Research and incorporate new technologies, learning methods, models and job aids, and communicate those findings
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience developing custom training solutions, instructional design, training or related experience required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience facilitating virtual/live classroom training
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and interactive development software
- Strong attention to detail
- Prior experience in clinical trials

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
