Position Summary: You will be responsible for setting up and operating machines finish abrasive wheels. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to maintaining high production standards and meeting customer demands. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Finish parts on specific machines according to work instructions and blueprint
- Operate machines according to instructions
- Visually inspect product for burrs, damage, rust and other defects
- Measure product using prescribed gaging
- Identify the need for and complete tool changes as needed
- Inform management of any maintenance issues or problems related to a job.
- Timely and accurate completion of all paperwork associated with production parts
- Verify piece count and traceability of product
- Maintain organized and clean work area
- Communicate all problems and other work related issues with supervisor
- Receive, understand and follow all written and oral instruction.
- Maintain meet or exceed rating on performance evaluations
- Comply with all company policies and procedures in including safety and attendance requirements
- Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality control standards and safety regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain press machinery
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience running a manual machine
