Additional Information: Required Education: 1 CPE Unit-APC, ACPE, NACC, NAJC, CASC, CPSP, SCA or FT Chaplaincy Experience, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree Recommended Education: Required Work Experience: Clinical Services or Other Services - 2 years of Chaplaincy Recommended Work Experience: Required Certifications: Recommended Certifications: Board Certified Chaplain - APC, ACPE, NACC, NAJC, CASC, CPSP, SCA Description 1. Independently provides pastoral care during crisis by providing a calming presence and influence. 2. Uses comprehensive understanding of the grief process, especially in sudden death to counsel and minister to individuals and families. 3. Develops a structure and strategy to cover all assigned areas. 4. Responds to patient and family needs based on informal assessment of spiritual and pastoral needs. 5. Provides crisis intervention, develops care plans, directs to other needed social services to meet patient and family needs. 6. Fosters and maintains good working relationships with patients, families, visitors and co-workers. 7. Facilitates the spiritual, religious and pastoral needs of patients and families of different faith backgrounds. 8. Completes departmental and hospital required documentation. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
