Job: - Speed/Traffic Lights Camera Support Officer

Location: - Sydney (Hybrid)

Notice Period: - Immediate

Duration: - Up to 30-Aug-2024 (Possible Extension)

We are looking for an experienced Speed/Traffic Lights Camera Support Officer for one of the NSW Government organisations.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of system communications and associated networking components used for roadside monitoring, measurement or detection.
  • Good experience in ensuring continued Speed/Traffic lights camera network connectivity to all hardware components and reporting major technical interruptions for network or camera support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the importance of the Speed/ Traffic Lights Camera enforcement program and systems deployed within NSW.
  • Strong experience in daily monitoring the quality of camera connectivity, ensuring the transfer and integrity of all incidents from camera sites to various systems for adjudication processing.
  • Must have good Communication skills/ Coordination skills and should have the experience of turning Cameras on & off and writing notes.
  • Experience in preparing customer-focused correspondence regarding operational aspects of the enforcement network.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to oversight daily monitoring of all camera network operations and activities to ensure obligation for the Agency enforcement camera program.
  • Administer and monitor requests for maintenance of camera systems and associated communication networks deployed as part of the camera enforcement program and ensure their timely resolution by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process external stakeholders’ requests for access to and maintenance of enforcement cameras, managing and controlling camera systems access, ensuring valid and timely access and minimizing camera downtime.
  • Administer and monitor requests for maintenance of camera systems and associated communication networks deployed as part of the camera enforcement program and ensure their timely resolution by liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor camera enforcement systems to ensure that enforcement settings, camera status and actions are accurately applied as per relevant legislation, policies and guidelines.
