As a Structured Cabling Technician for our Network division, you will primarily responsible for the installation of network support and cabling, and conducting maintenance of copper and fiber-optic cabling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables and fiber optic cables.
• Route cable through conduit, above ceilings, and between floors per job specifications.
• Provide or relocate cable and modular connections.
• Assist in the installation of communications hardware.
• Learn and identify color codes for 568A, 568B, 6 strand fiber, 12 strand fiber, 25 pair, and 50 pair.
• Safely utilize equipment resources to perform specified physical job duties.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and floor plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Prior knowledge of wiring and cabling methods preferred.
• Must pass a three-year motor vehicle record check and possess a valid license.
• Prior training and experience with working in a bucket trunk.
• Prior knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
• A strong work ethic with a dedication to learning.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance history.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Present a professional appearance at customer locations.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and with hands and arms, for up to eight hours daily.
• Must be able to climb up and down ladders (8 feet routinely) and haul equipment
• Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl in all environments (basements, crawl spaces, attic/ceilings, etc.).
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Tolerate extreme cold and hot temperatures if needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
