Job Description The Regional Sales Director will be directly responsible for a particular customer team and the overall sales execution in the related markets.
Responsibilities - Manage the overall sales process.
- Deliver client's volume share and sales goals (merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving).
- Develop relationships with internal colleagues, clients and customers.
- Effectively use knowledge of client, customer, and market to successfully sell client specific programs and initiatives as well as company objectives and initiatives.
- Uses marketing, technology and sales support as needed to accomplish objectives.
- Work closely with the Acosta management teams to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs.
- Maintain key client relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the client's business base.
Qualifications - College degree preferred.
- CPG sales experience working with natural/organic, and emerging brands for 5 years.
- Successively increased responsibility with a sales and marketing agency or major national consumer packaged goods company.
- Demonstrate collaborative selling skills to align with constituents.
- Experience dealing with dedicated customer and client teams,
- Experience working with broker teams.
- Experience working with distributors such as UNFI and KeHE
- Experience working with Mid Atlantic and Southeast Grocery retailers.
- Valid driver's license and be able to drive a car.
- Willing to travel.
- Proficient in a variety of software packages used to support the sales function.
- Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.
- Ability to analyze sales and marketing information needed to make effective sales presentations.
- Solid understanding of the fundamental principles of financial management and possess the ability to effectively monitor and control expenses.
- Must be able to effectively communicate the sales philosophy and direction of the company to all Associates.
