In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our investor trust accounts and supporting the month-end close process. You will handle complex accounting tasks with precision and sound judgment. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and excellence in the mortgage industry. Range: $80,000 - $85,000 Key Responsibilities:Perform daily and monthly general ledger account and bank reconciliations for assigned P&I and T&I investor accounts.Maintain and follow procedures and controls within the monthly process to ensure compliance and accuracy.Prepare timely and accurate daily investor deposit schedules, corporate advances, and analyses.Engage in process reviews and execute improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Communicate effectively with co-workers, managers, and various teams to resolve investor account deposits.Conduct analytical research for transactions as needed.Work independently with minimal supervision.Collaborate with Investor Reporting and Servicing to bridge gaps in the financial picture related to those accounts.Utilize advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and V Lookups.Provide general administrative and financial support as needed.Participate in special projects as assigned. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is requiredMinimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with specific experience in mortgage industryExperience in servicing/investor accountingAdvanced in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks and/or Loan Vision. Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
