The Automation Engineer is responsible for leading their team to ensure that all automation technicians are building, installing, testing, and maintaining robotic equipment and related productions systems, problem solving all technical and production issues. The automation engineering manager will ensure machines are running expected production standards while maintaining quality and safety. The Automation Engineer will proactively plan the team’s resources and personnel to ensure production has the adequate throughput to meet company priorities and goals. 

Education and Experience:

• B.S. Engineering: M.S. Engineering preferred. Mechanical, automation, robotics, controls, etc…

• Extensive 3-D Solid Edge (Preferred) or other CAD and EPDM experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

• Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)

• 5-7 years of experience with PLC programming for safety and motor control systems.

• 2-5 years of experience with robotics and robotic welding. ABB preferred.
