Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an R&D Lab Technician, providing essential lab support for ATF, Gear, Off-Road, and MTF formulators, along with our Customer Technical Service team. Your main responsibilities will include accurately weighing chemical components, blending fluids, conducting and scheduling analytical and bench testing, maintaining critical lab equipment, and adhering to corporate safety and ISO 9001 guidelines.

- Perform organic synthesis and analysis to support component development programs provided by the supervisor. Contribute to process development through interaction with the supervisor.

- Perform industry and company-specific laboratory tests using established procedures. Assist in the development and modification of tests as needed. Develop plans for testing and/or additive blending.

- Complete preliminary analysis and interpretation of test results. Prepare reports, memos, presentations, etc., and/or enter into databases to communicate results to appropriate parties. Handle requests and report results in agreed-upon timelines.

- Operate specialized test equipment in accordance with established procedures. Perform tests accurately to ensure reproducibility. Assume responsibilities for the maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and/or instrumentation necessary to perform laboratory tests.

- Purchase, maintain, and/or obtain an adequate inventory of samples and lab supplies for testing and work area. Maintain work area in a neat, clean, and safe condition.

- Blend components and/or develop new or modify existing formulations to meet objectives and analyze various blends and base stocks to determine properties.

- Perform non-standardized laboratory procedures independently and/or with guidance from experienced personnel.

- Assure complete documentation is maintained on all quality-related activities. Participate in quality-related activities and maintain an up-to-date understanding of the procedures.
