Job Title: Civil Designer

Job Description

Join our Planning, Development, and Natural Resources (PDNR) team for an exciting opportunity to enhance your career and become the best you can be. Our team consists of highly respected design professionals and a full-service surveying staff that offer effective and sustainable solutions for our clients’ land planning, permitting, stormwater, water/sewer, erosion control, landscaping, and other development and land management needs. We plan and design residential communities, retail shops, parks, solar farms, educational buildings, industrial, manufacturing, and commercial facilities that meet today’s needs while considering the impact on future generations. Our diverse services provide our staff with exposure to a wide range of engineering principles.

Hard Skills

• Technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects
• Preparation of design computations and assessments
• Production of design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents
• Completing design tasks within budget and on schedule
• Staying current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations

Soft Skills

• Reporting directly to the Project Manager
• Effective communication and coordination with the Project Manager and design team on design issues and calculations relating to a project

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 7 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Charlotte, North Carolina.
