In this role, the Civil Engineer will be a part of the Civil Engineering team, of the Mid-Atlantic sector, based in our Washington, DC office, with the option of working in our other offices: Fairfax, VA. The Civil Engineer will design land development projects for residential, commercial, and municipal development. Responsibilities include designing site and infrastructure improvements such as grading, dry and wet utilities, erosion sediment control, and storm water management. The role also involves preparing roadway, grading, drainage, water and sewer modeling and plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D or Microstation and Open Roads Designer or CONNECT, as well as traffic, drainage, and utility reports. The engineer will prepare supporting calculations, construction specifications, and secure permits in various jurisdictions. Additionally, the role requires preparing construction cost models and engineer’s opinion of probable cost for projects through various stages of development, working within defined scope, schedule, and budget parameters, and communicating progress and results to directors, project managers, and project teams. The engineer will work in an integrated team with various disciplines and clients, coordinating with other disciplines and locations as necessary, and processing plans with regulatory agencies and stakeholders for approval.
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in District of Columbia and some days remote.
