Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager for our commercial and home renovation contractor in metro-Detroit. The ideal candidate will primarily handle local client needs with occasional travel as required. Responsibilities include project management, onsite supervision, and direct communication with Owners and management teams. Projects may include high-end residential to commercial/hospitality remodels, restoration, or management.

-Planning: Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to plan, schedule, and budget the project

-Organizing: Coordinate equipment and materials, delegate work, and organize logistics

-Managing: Keep track of spending, monitor progress, and solve issues that arise

-Ensuring quality: Avoid scope creep and ensure quality throughout the project

-Assessing risk: Identify, analyze, and evaluate potential risks in real time

-Keeping stakeholders informed: Maintain good relationships with stakeholders

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years in overall construction experience preferred
• Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager/Super on commercial and/or home renovation and remodel project experience
• Experienced in handling multiple projects at once
• Best candidates would come from carpentry in commercial and high-end residential industry and have experience running their own company at some point so they have experience from all aspects of a project.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s). This person will have access to full benefits (medical, dental, vision), pto, holiday pay, 401k

Work Environment

Mostly within the local metro-Detroit market with occasional travel for 3-9 days if needed. Typically 45/50 hours/week, varying depending on project needs. This is a salaried role with 60% office work and 40% on job sites as needed. Responsibilities include managing contractors on job sites and communicating with leadership daily. Projects can vary daily, from a water leak in a high-end residential home to a hospitality office remodel.
