This position manages technical-related projects of increasing scope to further develop engineering skills, with an emphasis on providing technical direction for functional areas or specific engineering fields of expertise. This position will provide support for the Controls Engineering functions (also known as OT - Operations Technology) within the manufacturing processes. As such, knowledge, and support of the end-to-end systems, from machine controls through SCADA interfaces to upper-level systems such as MES and SAP, are part of the everyday routine. Equipment design, development, and layout include the testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, research investigations, and report preparation. Assist in refining marketing and R&D concepts and utilizing standard engineering techniques to develop manufacturing solutions that will translate these concepts into reality, including creating technical drawings of solutions and partnering with external equipment vendors and engineering service providers to develop new process solutions. Identify and develop expertise in new technologies across industry that can be utilized internally for development of innovativeprocesses to deliver new products or packaging to the marketplace. Lead project management activities with clearly specified objectives, including concept development, feasibility analysis, scopedefinition, cost estimation, specification and drawing development, business risk evaluation, vendor evaluation, resource allocation, development of manufacturing options, scheduling, and installation
Develop and manage capital and expense budgets to meet project objectives.
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 months.
This is a fully on-site position in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The workweek is M-F & 9-5.
Anthing over 40 hours a week is considered overtime.
