Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Compliance Specialist to join our Transmission Line Engineering team. In this role you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company adheres to all relevant regulations standards and best practices. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including:

bull Maintaining accurate records: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized records of all compliance activities. This will involve using Microsoft Excel to record data and generate reports.

bull Monitoring and analyzing compliance data: You will be responsible for staying up-to-date on compliance related standard practices and ensuring our company adheres to them. This will involve reviewing current internal procedures identifying potential risks and improving AEP standard practices.

bull Generating reports: You will be required to develop detailed reports and presentations that communicate compliance information to stakeholders at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

bull Collaboration: You will work closely with other departments such as Transmission Planning Engineering and Legal to ensure our business practices are compliant.

Essential Job Functions Tasks:

1. Coordinate work activities of others within work group team or those external to the company including contractors vendors as required to resolve routine technical tasks and field work activities.

2. Perform varied assignments demonstrating technical knowledge and analytical techniques to solution of problems or analysis.

3. Participate in the planning and organization of project work activities.

4. Make decisions and contribute to team decision making and consensus building.

6. Work with others in both supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary.

7. Provide training and guidance to lower level employees as appropriate.

8. Pursue effective ways to protect and enhance the environment while providing reliable electricity at a competitive cost.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university or college or an Associate's technical degree with 2 years of experience in design operations planning construction or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.
