As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing various engineering duties including product design, tooling design, new product production implementation, and testing and validation. You will be leading and managing several projects focused on developing and introducing new products while ensuring quality and reliability standards are met. Your role will require you to create designs and drawings using 3D CAD software, design tooling, and create CNC programs. You will also be expected to plan, direct, and coordinate new product production implementation. Applying sound engineering principles while contributing to the design and development of existing and new products is a core responsibility. You will also perform analyses and comparisons of specifications and test results to contribute to technical and product innovation. Developing prototypes corresponding to requests and projects, staying aware of new styles, trends, and influences, and managing several projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring key deliverables are met are also part of your role.

This is a fully on-site position in Edwardsburg, Michigan.
You will be working under the Engineering Manager, alongside a team of 4 engineers. The typical work week is 40-45 hours. You will be part of a company that manufactures thermoformed products that are durable, reliable, and can withstand a variety of environmental conditions due to being resistant to corrosion and chemicals. The products are made primarily for the RV industry, including shower inserts/pans, bathtubs, sink basins, mounting kits, storage tubs, skylight parts, and products for pets (food storage and feeding stations).
