Job Description:
Will be supporting review and processing of customer applications for Residential Distributed Generation (DG) utilizing a custom-built customer interface portal.
Review and approve/reject electric one-lines, metering and relaying drawings, equipment specifications submitted as part of the DG applications.
Collaborate with external residential and commercial DG installers, developers, engineering firms to develop processes and bring efficiencies in application processing.
Interact with internal stake holders like Distribution Planning & Engineering, Service Consultants, Substation Engineering & Operations, Major Underground Engineering & Operations, Distribution Key Accounts to evaluate the scope of DG requests, create new or modify existing DG projects within the portal.
Works under the close supervision and direction of a licensed professional engineer or engineering manager.
Training & development will be provided for this role, typically takes about 2-3 weeks before working on projects independently.
Skills & Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelors Degree in Engineering specialization.
Experience within Power & Energy industry is preferred.
Customer service experience is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Computer savvy and able to work with Microsoft programs, SAP, and similar software.
Able to work on mundane/repetitive work.
