Job Description

As a Medical Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and suitability of blood donors. Your responsibilities will include confirming donor identification, teaching and assisting donors with self-administered questionnaires, performing donor arm checks, and determining donor vital signs and weight. You will record results accurately in the donor center system, determine donor suitability, defer donors based on established criteria, and explain deferral reasons and timeframes. Additionally, you will perform total protein readings, maintain a professional appearance, and participate in training and staff meetings. Travel may be required as needed.

The role requires interaction with peers and donors, maintaining a professional demeanor. Occasional travel and flexibility are needed to meet business needs. Continuous learning through scheduled training and meetings is essential.
