Job Title: Operations Assistant

Job Description

As an Operations Assistant, you will play an integral role in our 3rd party food testing company's front-end operations. Your primary tasks will involve package receipt, general sample handling, project sorting (triage activities), and more. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy between the contents of packages and their corresponding invoices, organizing samples by priority, moving samples to appropriate locations, and scanning samples into our database. You may also assist with labeling samples. This role requires standing for the majority of the day and a flexibility to work an average of 5 hours of overtime per week based on workload.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Madison, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

You will be working primarily in the triage area, featuring our new conveyor system. Our business is experiencing growth due to internal changes, providing ample opportunities for advancement within the company. We are fast-paced and dedicated to meeting our clients' timeframes, which may result in repetitive tasks depending on your group assignment. Please note that we currently have 12-15 employees on both the 1st and 2nd shifts in our Sample Prep team.
