Job Title : Overnight Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This position operates on a unique 7 days on / 7 days off shift from 9 : 30pm-8 : 00am, Wednesday to Tuesday.
The successful candidate will be responsible for aseptic preparation of parenteral products, including but not limited to : large volume parenteral solutions, intravenous piggybacks, epidural solutions, dialysis solutions, syringe products, and TPN solutions.
Additional responsibilities include assisting nurses with locating medications, restocking ED Pyxis / Omnicell devices, maintaining clean room standards, assisting in ordering and receiving medication from wholesalers and vendors, stocking all pharmacy areas, and assisting in dispensing functions.
Hard Skills
- NJ pharmacy license
- Active CPHT or able to obtain one within 1 year of employment from start date
- Experience with IV compounding
- IV / Cleanroom trained
- Hospital experience
- Active BLS Certification
Soft Skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Problem-solving skills
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Plainsboro, New Jersey.
Work Environment
The successful candidate must be comfortable being on their feet for the majority of the shift. They will work in various areas including units, retail pharmacy, main pharmacy, IV room, or in the 'meds to bed' program.
