Job description overview/summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician who will assist our Pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications to patients, perform designated technical functions to facilitate pharmacy operations, and deliver exceptional patient care. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing oral, topical, and parenteral medications, updating/editing patient profiles and charges in the hospital computer system, and assisting patients, nurses, physicians, and others with medication order requests. In addition, the Pharmacy Technician will monitor stock inventory levels, compound products in bulk or per individual order, and effectively perform all duties across all pharmacy locations.

Required Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification in Washington, D.C.
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is advantageous
• Minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician

• The candidate will be part of a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment in the heart of Washington, D.C.
• Monday - Friday with weekend rotations
• First and second shifts available:
  • 7:30am - 3:30pm
  • 3:30pm-11:30pm. M-F
