Phlebotomist

As a phlebotomist, you’ll play a vital role in our healthcare team!

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Specimen Collection: You’ll collect and store specimens following established procedures. Whether it’s venipuncture (blood drawing) or other sample collection (like urine or fecal), you’ll ensure accuracy and patient comfort.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in using straight needles and butterfly needles. Understand physicians’ orders thoroughly.
• Lab Coordination: Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as needed for specific tests. Attention to detail is crucial.
• Quality Assurance: Check all test requisitions against scripts or computer labels to maintain 100% accuracy.
• Transport and Storage: Package specimens for safe transport and store them at the correct temperature. Proper labeling and adherence to protocols are essential.
• Compliance and Training: Understand and follow OSHA and DEP regulations. Attend annual department trainings to stay up-to-date.
• Customer Service: Strong customer experience. Answer inquiries and read laboratory results to satisfy patient queries.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 years as a phlebotomist.
• Must have hospital/clinic setting experience as phlebotomist
• Experience processing drug test
• Schedule: Hours: M-T- 10am-6pm and Friday- 10am-4pm
