For over five decades, our client has been recognized as the world's largest and most trusted producer of Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) eggs and adjacent laboratory products and services for the development and manufacture of biologics and vaccines that are used for both human and animal health. They supply leading manufacturers with critical bioprocessing inputs, including SPF eggs, antigens, and cell products. In addition, offers numerous diagnostic testing and manufacturing support services, including virus propagation and isolation, custom cell production, and quality control testing. They also support the development of new therapeutics by providing antibodies such as IgY for use in clinical trials.

Description:

Communicate regularly with Farm Management

Maintain biosecurity and follow biosecurity regulations.

Keep house and equipment clean and sanitary.

Collect and sanitize eggs to provide clean SPF eggs for sale.

Responsible for basic maintenance

Monitor flock for health issues and report concerns to Farm Management

Perform blood draws weekly.

Monitor and maintain feeders, waterers, medicators, house temperatures, bird weights and condition.

Assist in training new hires.

Ensure the humane care of the birds during all phases of the life cycle.

Perform bird sales as requested.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) is preferred but not required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
