Description:
The Principal Program Manager shall manage the overall PM function. This will be accomplished by generating and reinforcing corporate PM policy, procedures and templates while also leading multidisciplinary teams for assigned programs utilizing program management techniques in a highly engineered and regulated environment. This position is primarily focused on the timely performance and cost execution of New Product Development in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS), partner contracts and product specifications for the defense and aerospace markets. In addition to New Product Development, the PM will also lead new business development proposal activity. The Principal PM will also be a critical participant in continual product or business process improvement initiatives.The selected individual will need to be a technical leader with the ability to make direct/independent technical progress assessments with external Customers and internal stakeholders. The Principal PM will have the responsibility of representing the organization in a highly professional manner and will need to prepare and present partner-facing communications, documents, proposals and presentations. These communications will be with external stakeholders such as partners, critical and/or strategic suppliers and contract manufacturers (CMs) as well as internal stakeholders including the executive management team
