Job Title: Project Controls IV (2 openings)

Job Description

• Responsible for project reporting, controls activities
• Activities include planning / scheduling, cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control activities, change management.
• Directs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.
• Directs schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities.
• Manages team of project controls specialists.
• Plus specialized experience and/or expertise required for the successful delivery of aviation projects.
• Oversees the fulfilment of LAWA's overarching organizational goals by coordinating activities and interdependencies between multiple project teams
• A focus on the strategy and delivery of the overarching program on behalf of LAWA
• Monitors key performance indicators for project and overall program progress, resources, budget, risks and opportunities
• Collaborates and communicates with LAWA leadership and project team leaders to review progress and tackle issues as they arise, taking corrective actions where needed

About the Project

• Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA) at LAX:
• Overseeing General Contractors and Sub-Contractors for LAX’s on-going CIP (Capital Improvement Projects)
  • Terminal Development & Improvement Program
  • Airports Development Program

Must Have Experience

• 10 years of managing team of project controls staff
• BS in related technical fields (Construction, Architecture or Engineering)
• Project Preference: Airport/Aviation CIP (Capital Improvement Projects) – Back-up Projects: Healthcare (OSHPD or HCAI), Education (DSA) and Federal
• Program Budget near $1-billion contract value
• Experience planning/scheduling, cost engineering/estimating, directing and processing RFIs, change orders, RFPs
• Project Controls experience with owner, as opposed to contractor

Nice-to-Have Additional Experience

• Certifications may include: AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc.
• Relevant Master's Degree
