Actalent is seeking a Remote Project Scheduler!

Description:

• MS Project Scheduler
• Will be working remote with occasional jobsite visits
• Support Buckeye, Arizona project. Scope is mechanical system upgrades in Walmart distribution center
• Projected 14-month duration
• Ability to combine (5) construction schedules from multiple GCs and then facilitate weekly meetings in order to identify problem areas either by sequence of operations or over lapping work. Knowledge and access to Critical Path Method software is a must and we use Outbuild, which would be a preferred software but not limited to just that. No travel would be expected and therefore working remote would be acceptable.
• Scheduler will be building client's schedule in MS Project from scratch, as well as integrating built schedules from 4 other general contractors on site into one master schedule that all will follow. (to maximize efficiency, avoid trade stacking, etc.)
• This person will need to have a strong, professional personality to coordinate with other contractors’ schedulers and ensure that schedules are matching in specifics and detail. This is imperative so that all schedules can integrate seamlessly.
• Will be leading a weekly scheduling meeting with Project Managers and project team.

General scheduler job description:

• Prepares, builds and regularly updates project schedules collaboratively with the project team
• Performs schedule reviews to ensure effective and efficient best practices for scheduling are utilized. Diplomatically communicates review comments to the project team
• Participates in all phases of the construction planning & scheduling process, including the creation of proposal schedules, baseline schedule and ongoing schedule updates
• Assists with the development of best practices for AIG planning and scheduling efforts
• Visits job sites regularly to review job status and applies construction sequencing knowledge to accurately update the project schedule for assigned projects
• May attend project related meetings and/or jobsite-specific meetings where emphasis on schedule is discussed
• Supports the preparation of scheduling reports as required for assigned project
• Adds resource loading and cost loading, when required, to schedules collaboratively created with the project teams
• Provides planning and scheduling support to operations, marketing and other functions as directed.
• Understands that market and regional information are a part of project schedules such as: seasonal weather patterns, materials markets, labor forces and other factors that may impact each project schedule

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be a good communicator and facilitator (working with several different companies and people)
• Must have great technology skills/experience (MS Project, MS Office, Teams/Zoom, etc.)
• Has done 3,000 lines of schedule
• Degree preferred
