• Responsibilities : The Scientific Data Manager II is responsible for working alongside researchers and in support of research projects by acquiring data. Research projects present questions that require data to answer; this role is responsible for collecting and sharing said data. Candidates will need to work a multitude of avenues to acquire the data including health forums, IRB sites, county offices, and at times work with proxy data instead. Candidates will also assist in setting up protocols to govern how the data is gathered and shared with collaborating researchers.
• Qualifications:
o 5 years’ experience with environmental or public health data gathering/sets (EPA experience a good example) required
o 4-year degree in basic science, public health, clinical research or other related scientific field required
o GIS software experience highly preferred
• Hours: part-time (20 hours per week) and will be flexible with schedules. However, candidates must be flexible
Examples of viable schedules are below.
o Monday-Friday, 4 hours per day
o Monday-Thursday, 5 hours per day
• Pay Rate: $35/hour
• Length of Assignment: 6-month contract with the opportunity to renew – Ashley believes there’s at least 12 months’ worth of part-time work available.
• Onsite or Remote: Hybrid: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
