Job Title: Sr. Commercial Engineer
Job Description
As a Sr. Commercial Engineer, you will be pivotal in creating technical and commercial proposals to meet our customers' balance of plant electrical power generation needs. This role requires interpreting complex electrical and mechanical specifications and collaborating closely with customers and internal business partners to develop conceptual solutions. You will be responsible for using corporate cost methods to develop cost models and creating detailed customer proposals while ensuring system level manufacturability. This position involves maintaining a manufacturing cost model database and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
Hard Skills

• Prior experience with quoting and creating customer proposals
• Knowledge of Balance of Plant solutions & related initiatives (BoP)
• Understanding of North American power generation standards and regulations
• Inventor 3D software experience
• Metal fabrication experience and manufacturing processes knowledge: Optimized Nesting, Laser & Plasma Cutting, Brake Presses & Panel Bending, Punch Presses, CNC Milling, Lathes & Drilling, Certified Welding (Mig, Tig, Stick, Robotic, Spot, Bluco), Powder Coating

Soft Skills

• Ability to solve customer problems by creating unique power generation solutions
• Collaborative working with customers and internal business partners

Work Environment
You will be part of a new foundational team focused on power generation, driving the vision to become an integrator, not just a manufacturer of sub-components and assemblies. The engineering department recently moved into a modern addition to the building, with travel up to 10% of the time.
