Description:

As a SR. Electrical Engineer you will participate in making history designing and building a Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. This will be a one of a kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from WWII and Cold War plutonium production into a state that is safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect and insure the safety of near by river systems, communities, and wildlife throughout the northwest.

Additional Description

- Performs studies, options analysis, and scope development across all areas of electrical engineering.

- Provides oversight of specifications and procurements of complex electrical equipment and/or systems.

- Develops conceptual designs for electrical engineering for project areas having specialized or unique requirements.

- Performs checking or preparation of design documentation where warranted by high complexity.

- Mentors less-experienced team members and supports in their development.

- Supports in preparation of AHJ rulings, evaluations, equivalencies, and interpretations, database development of NEC/NRTL findings, and related training development/delivery

- Provides reviews of NRTL submittals, supplier CoCs, and engineering design supporting AHJ approvals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 13 year of related electrical design experience; or MS degree in electrical engineering with 11 years of related electrical design experience.

- US Professional Engineer Registration.

- Extensive knowledge and application of NFPA codes and ANSI/IEEE Standards.

- Previous hands-on or extensive working knowledge with ETAP and other industry wide electrical system design tools, such as CAD 2D and cable designing and routing software.

- Five years supervisory experience.
