This role will support the design development of structural and blast engineering designs for the GBSD program project by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. The successful candidate will work with other Structural Engineers and technical disciplines in a team environment. Responsibilities include performing formal structural calculations dealing primarily with blast loads, developing concrete and steel structural designs and drawings, foundation design and drawings, reviewing customer and vendor information from subcontractors and integrating it into the design solution, developing design configuration packages for configuration control, change management, and procurement, executing to schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product, and coordinating closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.
This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
This is a fully on-site position in Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
The role is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour work week, spanning 5 days. Work will be performed onsite for the duration of the assignment. The engineer will work with supporting disciplines across the organization to accomplish the work.
