Position OverviewDr. Linda LeBlanc, Executive Director of the Action Institute for Outcomes Research at ABC, is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to support a variety of research activities. The role involves recruiting participants, conducting follow-up surveys, entering and managing data, summarizing research articles, and assisting with the preparation of manuscripts and presentations. The Research Assistant will also play a key role in developing and refining systems to enhance clinical implementation and support our team in translating research into practice. A candidate who is pursuing graduate training in behavior analysis or a related discipline, or who intends to pursue graduate training in the future, would be ideal. Behavior analytic research activities can count towards fieldwork experience hours and Dr. LeBlanc is qualified to provide fieldwork supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and manage participants for research studies.
- Conduct follow-up surveys with families.
- Enter and maintain data in large databases.
- Read, interpret, and summarize scientific literature.
- Assist with the preparation of research manuscripts and professional presentations.
- Contribute to the development of systems for implementing research findings in clinical practice.
- Support the ABC team in integrating research outcomes into clinical initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) or higher credential in behavior analysis preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in data entry and database management.
- Proficiency with Action systems (e.g., Central Reach, Salesforce) and Google/Microsoft Suite (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint, Google Docs).
- Comfortable interacting with families and maintaining a welcoming demeanor.
- Experience with or interest in scientific literature and behavior analytic research.
- Willingness to pursue or currently pursuing graduate training in behavior analysis or a related discipline.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Enthusiasm for systems development, training, and performance support.
