A local nonprofit is seeking a Career Coach Assistant. This position is responsible for providing administrative, programmatic and compliance support to Agency programs and assisting with Agency grant writing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ø Complete data entry and research tasks using Agency software, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
Ø Assist staff with providing employment resources and referrals for participants.
Ø Assist with follow up of participants on an ongoing basis and maintain accurate and concise case notes to track progress.
Ø Create and maintain strong partnerships with county Chambers of Commerce in support of employment and educational opportunities for participants.
Ø Assist staff in planning and participating in outreach events.
Ø Work with other compliance team members in reviewing all department files to ensure they are complete, accurate, and organized in the required way.
Ø Assist Career Coaches by making initial contacts and coordinating with participants to secure required documentation.
Ø Assist staff with workshop planning.
Ø Assist the agency Grant Writer by completing research appropriate to the grant.
Ø Assist in the grant writing process, including but not limited to, helping to compose drafts of program narratives and other required documents for grant submission.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ø Knowledge of basic accounting principles, budgeting, and bookkeeping practices.
Ø Knowledge of local resources to assist in the delivery of appropriate services.
Ø Skill in accurate, compliant, and professional data management, record-keeping, and reporting.
Ø Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet applications.
Ø Knowledge of effective proactive case management (i.e., assessment, setting goals, and tracking progress toward achievement of goals).
Ø Skill in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and ability to interact positively with a variety of personalities and socio-economic populations.
Ø Daily access to reliable transportation.
