An international automotive parts manufacturer by the Decatur , Indiana area is currently searching for a EHS Assistant Manager to join their facility. This position is full-time, and direct hire with an excellent benefits package including vision, dental, health, life insurance, 401K, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise safety programs for all associates, ensure all associates are following safety guidelines

• Assist with documentation for OSHA compliance

• Investigate safety incidents and report findings, also track resolutions for any known issues

• Provide training and coaching sessions for both management and team members, focusing on safety and environmental concerns relevant to their respective roles and responsibilities

• Assist with the development of EHS procedures

• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws

• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, Environmental Health and Safety degree is ideal or relevant experience

• Bare minimum of 1 year of relevant EHS experience working in the manufacturing and/or automotive industries

• Prior leadership experience highly preferred

• Experience with ISO 14001 is preferred

• Must have excellent communication skills

• Maintain all required records and documentation

• Must be able to work responsibly, effectively, and independently when needed

• Must be flexible and be able to work under a multicultural environment

This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
