An automotive parts manufacturing company is currently searching for a Purchasing Manager to join their facility by the Findlay, OH area. The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing and the automotive industry. This is a full-time and direct hire position. This is 100% on-site.

Purchasing Manager Responsibilities Include:

• Overseeing purchasing activities, inventory control, scrap control, purchase orders, forecasting, etc
• Creation of reports and documentation
• Handle warehouse and receiving activities as well as managing inventory levels and cycle counting
• Build and maintain supplier relationships
• Responsible for controlling costs, issuing purchase orders, and price negotiation with suppliers
• Report the status of objectives and targets daily in team meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Purchasing Assistant Manager Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required
• At least 2 years of related experience in a similar position and/or field is preferred
• Familiarity with PPAPs, root cause analysis and supplier quality
• 2-3 years of purchasing experience highly preferred
• Must have strong project management skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
• This position includes a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
