An international food manufacturing company in the Highland Park, NJ area is currently searching for a motivated Spanish/ English Maintenance Technician to join their facility. Training on all equipment and processes can be provided. This is a full-time, direct hire position with openings on multiple shifts available.

Spanish/ English Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct preventative, general, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and machinery (such as hydraulic / pneumatic equipment, conveyors, CNC machinery, etc.)
• Electrical wiring and troubleshooting
• Follow a predictive maintenance schedule and assist with planning scheduled downtime activities
• Ensure plantwide compliance to OSHA, EPA, and other safety / environmental requirements and standards
• Tracking of tool and material inventory
• Creation of maintenance activity reports for upper management
• Other duties as assigned

Spanish/ English Maintenance Technician Requirements Include:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of conversational Spanish language skills
• Demonstrated hands-on experience (including professional training, apprenticeships, etc.) in the set-up, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance documents
• Good communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and time management ability
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
