JOB SUMMARY & KEY PRIORITIES 

The Senior Associate, Measurement is an integral member of the Measurement team as they will support evaluation activities to ensure Active Minds programming is rigorously evaluated. The Senior Associate, Measurement will manage administrative components of Active Minds’ evaluation projects with a strong attention to detail and a focus on quantitative methods. To support the organization’s strategic priority to better understand the impact of our work and pursue continuous improvement, the Senior Associate will play a critical role in implementing evaluation activities, including data collection and quality control, collaboration with key stakeholders to plan and conduct evaluations, and logistic support to Measurement team members. The Senior Associate, Evaluation may serve as the project manager/point of contact for various internal evaluations and research projects. This includes collaborating with stakeholders on an evaluation plan, reporting progress throughout, monitoring implementation of each evaluation, and sharing key findings internally and externally.

KEY RESULTS 

  • Evaluation Project Support: In consultation with the Measurement team, coordinate the logistics for evaluation projects across the organization, including implementing the agreed upon strategy based on feedback from key stakeholders, ensuring the project adheres to the timeline and scope. Ensure all evaluation activities are being implemented with integrity and produce results with high internal validity.

  • Data Collection, Preparation and Analysis: Predominately, collect, clean and recode quantitative data to prepare for analysis. Prepare data collection tools, including building online surveys. Analyze data to determine key findings and collaborate with Measurement team to provide recommendations. As needed, support qualitative data collection and analysis, including facilitating focus groups and key informant interviews and analyzing qualitative data. 

  • Inform Evaluation Strategy: Serve as a thought partner on the Measurement team to provide innovative and data-driven strategies to enhance Active Minds position as the go to youth mobilization around mental health resource for youth, young adults, and young professionals and key stakeholders in that work, in alignment with Active Minds’ Theory of Change.

  • Dissemination: Assist with presentations and trainings that are relevant to evaluation, including event coordination, logistics, and promotion. Draft and review briefs, data reports, white papers, blog posts, and other written materials relevant to evaluation for various audiences across various platforms.

  • Administrative Oversight: Manage various administrative logistics, including tracking grant-related activities, partnerships, and expenditures. Maintain and track Measurement team records of project details and communication in the organization-wide CRM system, Salesforce, and project management system, TaskRay.

  • Intern Management: As needed, manage at least one paid part-time intern ensuring a positive professional development experience.

  • Departmental/Organization-wide: Participate in organization-wide miscellaneous duties as needed, including supporting the National Conference and participating on cross-department committees, such as Professional Learning Communities. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • At least 2 years of experience with evaluation and/or research 

  • Ability to utilize quantitative analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, R, etc.) to analyze data. Academic or professional experience in interpreting and translating findings to recommendations, with successful communication to stakeholders 

  • Strong attention to detail, including ability to comprehensively and accurately document data cleaning processes 

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills 

  • Experience cleaning, recoding and analyzing survey data preferred 

  • Education in public health, health promotion, psychology, sociology and/or other social sciences preferred

COMPENSATION 

This position offers an initial salary of $56,000 along with robust benefits. The starting pay for this position is equal to others at the same level throughout the organization. Candidates whose experience meets both the minimum and preferred qualifications may be considered for a starting salary that exceeds the current amount. The role sits within Active Minds Level 2 salary band and has the potential to grow to $72,000 over time. FLSA Status: Exempt.
