Ada County ProsecutorThe Deputy Prosecuting Attorney assigned to Problem-Solving Courts will manage felony cases assigned to the Problem-Solving Courts of the 4th Judicial District in Ada County. The Problem-Solving Court Deputy Prosecutor facilitates cases through the court system to ensure participant is compliant with court rules and requirements, is otherwise compliant with the law, and recommends discharge when the participant is falling below standards. The Deputy Prosecutor assigned to the Problem-Solving Courts and Mental Health Hearings also attends and conducts mental health hearings for those suffering from acute mental health crises to ensure the individual gets the proper community treatment to mitigate their symptoms and keep them and the community safe. The Deputy Prosecutor assigned to Mental Health Hearings will coordinate with relevant experts and facilitate expert testimony to the Court. Mental Health Hearings are handled by a Magistrate judge. This position will learn to work independently and make critical decisions affecting safety of those in acute mental health crisis through case strategy, negotiation, and advocacy.Full Time
