Position Overview:
As a Closing Manager On-Duty, you will be responsible for improving and maintaining the day to day operations of the grocery store. You will be responsible for developing strategies to improve customer service, store culture, drive store sales and increase profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain a safe, happy, full, fresh and clean store
· Maintain sales floor, preparation, equipment and storage areas that are clean, orderly and meeting company and health department standards at all times
· Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the product and services offered by the company.
· Communicating company, department and job specific information to all teammates.
· Communicate with store management regarding inventory, sales and any issues within the store
· Ensuring all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability per department
· Implement and execute company marketing plan to ensure product freshness to optimize sales with minimal shrink.
· Participating in departmental meetings, leadership meetings etc to ensure alignment on store growth and development
· Serving as a coach and mentor to all team members; identifying and recommending teammates for higher levels of responsibility
· Recommend and perform corrective steps for below acceptable teammate behaviors on the job in the absence of management
· Monitor inventory levels, ordering products such as but not limited to various products to maintain a diverse and stocked selection
· Implement and execute best practices to minimize profit losses and maximize overall store profit
· Build and promote a fun and rewarding store culture to maintain low levels of turnover while achieving financial success.
· Lead the team and store with a hands-on approach in the absence of store management to achieve financial goals.
· Adhere to all company safety standards
· Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Experience:
· Preferred: One (1) – three (3) years supervisory experience
· Preferred: Five (5) years’ grocery or equivalent experience
· ServeSafe certification or comparable
